Evaluation of p53, E7 and β-actin protein expression in a HeLa cell line. Extracts from HeLa non-treated cells, stably-transduced HeLa shcontrol cells and HeLa shE6/E7 cells were analyzed by Western blotting. The derived histograms show that the p53 protein expression was up-regulated, while E7 expression was down-regulated in HeLa shE6/E7 cells, compared to that in HeLa non-treated and HeLa shcontrol cells. Protein levels were normalized to those of β-actin. Scanning densitometry was used to quantify images for the bar graphs. Three independent experiments carried out in triplicate are shown and the groups were analyzed by one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) with the Tukey test ***p < 0.001, **p < 0.05
