Risk factor exposure assessment by gender. Tobacco units were defined as number of cigarettes/day and alcohol exposure according to the frequency of drinks/week, HPV status was evaluated as previously described. Proportions were calculated among women (n = 5) and men (n = 44) and the χ2-test was used to analyze differences in proportion. p values ≤0.05 were accepted as statistically significant.
