From: LPS promotes resistance to TRAIL-induced apoptosis in pancreatic cancer
TRAIL-stimulation decreased the mRNA-levels of TLR4. Cultures of PANC-1 (a), BxPC-3 (b) and COLO357 (c) were stimulated with 300 ng/ml TRAIL and 300 ng/ml TRAIL + 1 μg/ml LPS for 24 h. Non-stimulated cell cultures served as controls. TLR4 mRNA levels were measured by quantitative realtime-PCR. Data were normalized to mRNA expression of a housekeeping gene, GAPDH, and shown as fold change compared to untreated cells. Means and standard errors of the mean are shown. *) p < 0.05; **) p < 0.01
