  1. The presence of BPV 1/2 DNA is indicated by “+”. The cellular pattern of the immunoreactivity is either indicated with cytoplasmic and/or membranous and/or perinuclear. The intensity of immunolabelling for each specimen was scored in a “blind study” on a four-tiered scale: −, absent; +, weak signal or very weak signal; ++, moderate signal; +++, strong signal. “T” stands for tumour samples and “N” stands for normal skin samples.
