Identical HPV type 16 and 18 E7 gene sequences in benign and subsequent prostate cancer in two-selected patients. There are sequence variations which are identical in both the benign and subsequent prostate cancers which were diagnosed 2 (patient 1) and 6 (patient 32) years later. The reference sequences were HPV 16 (AF4020678) and HPV 18 (AY262282). The primer sequences have been omitted. The implication of these observations is that the same specific HPV virus was identified in both the benign and later prostate cancer in the same patient
